  1. Get your hot water bottle or heating pad ready.
  2. Get in position sit or lie down. You can sit up for hands and arms lie down for abs and legs. Protect your couch or bed if need be with a towel or plastic from oil that may escape from treatment. Use common sense and adapt to your liking.
  3. Apply generous amount of oil directly to the body part.
  4. Take a piece of flannel or all cotton cloth and place it over the area being treated. Apply a coat of oil directly over cloth and/or let it saturate with oil on body.
  5. Cover the pack with plastic.
  6. Place the heating pad or hot water bottle over the pack and let it sit for at least 30-60 minutes. Make sure you do not over heat the body. First time do less time: Use your mind to take in the experience of the warm soothing heat and the Castor Oil working on your body. During this time you can rest or read a book.
  7. When the time is up, remove the pack. If oil remains you can clean the area with water and a bit of baking soda.
  8. You can keep the pack in a plastic bag, sealed jar in a cool place or the refrigerator to use again. It is good for several days. Just add a few tablespoons of castor oil for the next session.
  9. Note: if you have a recent injury/inflammation  heat is not a timely application.
